About this blog

Who am I

My name is Nikhil and I build software products for (so far) other people.

I have been doing software since the turn of the century when the internet was still this "thing" that nerds did... During the course of the past couple of decades I have worked on a projects large and small, building products large and small in a variety of domains.

Along the way I made a tonne of mistakes, learned a lot, failed a bunch, went down rat holes and rabbit holes of various kinds and generally explored what it takes to build software that did something useful for somebody and then scale it so it did that useful things for many bodies....

What's in here

In here, I plan to put down my thoughts about technology, techniques, philosophies, approaches, etc about software products development and maintenance. I may also rant, rave and generally vent about things that you may not agree to...

You may imagine this blog to be my outlet to -

To talk of many things:

Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax–

Of cabbages–and kings–

And why the sea is boiling hot–

And whether pigs have wings.
